Toni Pustovrh is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Social Studies of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and a researcher at the Institute for Developmental and Strategic Analysis, Slovenia. His primary research interests are in the ethical, legal and societal implications of new and emerging technologies, the concept of human enhancement, bioethics and neuroethics, the governance of science and technology, public engagement, expert institutions in the process of science and technology policymaking, knowledge and technology transfer, and innovation systems. He studies various aspects of promising and controversial new technologies, such as cognitive enhancement technologies, synthetic biology and geoengineering. He is also a translator of scientific and popular science articles and books on science and technology. He has participated in the 7th EU FP project "EPOCH - Ethics in Public Policymaking: the Case of Human Enhancement" (2010-2012).
