Andrea Lorenzet, PhD in Sociology and Social Research, University of Trento (2008), is a scholar in science and technology srudies ad in public communication of science and technology. He is now research collaborator at the CIGA centre of the University of Padua and former post-doc researcher at the Department FISPPA (Philosophy, Sociology, Education, and Applied Psychology) of the same University, where he has studied the relationship between science, mass media and democratic processes in technoscientific controversies, i.e. the public debates on research and innovation such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, and renewable energy, with particular attention to the issue of digital science communication.
