The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences' Biosecurity Committee has published a report on "Improving Biosecurity - Assessment of Dual-use research". The report is the response to a request from the Dutch State Secretary for Education, Culture and Science about the potential risks of dual-use research. While they are not directly related to synthetic biology, the recommendations in the report will help to inform the debate about biosecurity issues and dual-use research in synbio.
