Biofaction is an inter- and trans-disciplinary research oriented SME focusing on technology assessment of new and emerging (bio)technologies; art and science collaboration; film and video production on science and technology; and science communication and managing the science-society interface. Biofaction KG brings together inter- and trans-disciplinary expertise from science, social science, and public communication, in the intersection of biology and technology. The company has substantial track record in the field of technology assessment, science communication and art-science interaction. For example, it was a partner in the project SYNMOD where it analysed the safety, ethical and communication issues regarding the production of novel antibiotics with synthetic biology techniques. Biofaction´s main task consists in lead of Platform “Art, Culture & Society” as well as the attached Work Package.
