The Marsilius Kolleg of Heidelberg University in cooperation with the Verein Begegnungszentrum Kurhaus Trifels e.V. organises the "Marsilius Academy 2014 Heidelberg – Summer School at Kurhaus Trifels" on "Synthetic Biology: Promises and Perils of Modern Biotechnology".

Doctoral candidates and junior scientists from the sciences and the humanities who are interested in an interdisciplinary exchange on ysnthetic biology are invited to apply for the summer school. Lectures will be held in German and in English.

Applications must be submitted online by May 31, 2014 via the summer school's website.
