Public panel debate on 'Synbio, genome editing, biohacking - Challenges posed by new genetic engineering techniques' (updated)

The Office of Technology Assessment at the German Bundestag (TAB) has announced a public panel debate to be held 29.09.2016 in Berlin in the premises of the German Bundestag. The debate will focus on 'Synbio, genome editing, biohacking - challenges posed by new genetic engineering techniques'.

Among other speakers, Alfred Nordmann (TU Darmstadt), member of SYNENERGENE, will present 'experiences from the EU project SYNENERGENE' in the session on societal integration of synbio research.

The event will be held in German language. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited and registration by 26 September 2016 is mandatory.
