Panel discussion on Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology

The British Embassy Berlin, together with the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW), hosts a panel discussion on "Potential applications and governance of groundbreaking technologies" in the fields of Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology. The panelists are
- Sir Mark Walport, UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser
- Ortwin Renn, Director of the Stuttgart Research Center for Interdisciplinary Risk and Innovation Studies, Stuttgart University, and Member of the BBAW
- Richard Kitney, Professor of Biomedical Systems Engineering, Imperial College London
The discussion will be chaired by Andy Stirling, Professor of Science & Technology Policy, University of Sussex.
