The International Association for the Study of Controversies (IASC) organises its 2016 conference on the topic "Science and Democracy - Controversies and Conflicts". The conference will focus on the relationship between science and democracy and on possible conflicts within the scientific community and between scientific and democratic valuations.

Among the invited speakers are Steve Fuller (Warwick), Silvio Oscar Funtowicz (Bergen), Luca Maria Scarantino (Milan), Mariachiara Tallachini (Piacenza). To participate in the programme of the conference, abstracts can be submitted before 1 August 2016.
