iGEM Giant Jamboree 2015
The iGEM competition, engaging thousands of students in synthetic biology, is in its twelve's round. The finals, called the "Giant Jamboree", take place in Boston, 24-28 September 2015. 280 teams from more than 30 countries from all continents of the world will join the Jamboree to present, share, and celebrate their work from the last months. The programme features presentations by all iGEM teams in the competition, but also special events such as workshops and discussions.
SYNENERGENE is a proud partner of the iGEM Foundation. Our collaboration provides student teams with opportunities for doing exciting work in Human Practices, contributing to responsible research and innovation in synthetic biology. In 2015, eight teams have worked together with SYNENERGENE partners in "real-time technology assessments" related to their projects.
At the Boston Jamboree, SYNENERGENE offers the workshop "Taking SynBio Visions to the Next Level" that will be lead by the partners at Delft University of Technology and University of Bergen. The workshop takes place in Room 304 at the Hynes Convention Center and is scheduled for
Friday, 25th September,
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm (part I) and
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (part II).
We will keep you updated via our twitter channel @synenergene.
