Global Summit: Biotechnology and the Ethical Imagination (BEINGS 2015)

BEINGS 2015 (for "Biotechnology and the Ethical Imagination: A Global Summit 2015) will convene more than 200 scientists, policy makers, business leaders and intellectuals from 30 different countries to discuss common standards for advanced biotechnologies such as synthetic biology, stem cell research, and genetic modification of human and animal cells.
With the Asilomar conference as a historic model, the summit will aim at formulating a consensus document for the governance of future developments in biotechnology. The conference is open for observers to attend and to give input to the countries' delegates.
