European Conference: Engaging Society in Responsible Research and Innovation: What’s Next

Date:
09/11/2015 (All day) to 10/11/2015 (All day)

The conference "Engaging Society in Responsible Research and Innovation: What’s Next" is organised by Engage 2020. This European project has mapped engagement methods and practices across Europe to show how citizens, stakeholders and users can be engaged in research and technological development in the context of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI).

The conference focuses on mainstreaming public engagement in Horizon 2020 and the sharing of good practices from across Europe and beyond. Participants will learn about the latest and most promising developments in public engagement in research and innovation and will get in contact with leading doers, thinkers and policy makers from across Europe and across the European institutions.

SYNENERGENE partners from VU Amsterdam will present the Theatrical Debate format that has been used in SYNENERGENE to discuss future perspectives of Synthetic Biology in several public settings.

There is no attendance fee, but pre-registration is required. Places will be given on a first come first serve basis.
