This conference, which aims to be a debate forum in which to discuss and exchange Synthetic Biology ideas with international scientific leaders experts in different subdisciplines of the field, is organised by B-Debate and Pompeu Fabra University, with the collaboration of University of Warwick and Boston University. It aims to approach positions on synthetic biology in the way towards achieving applications that are closer to society.

Speakers include Timothy Lu, MIT, Victor de Lorenzo, Centro Nacional de Biotecnología, Steen Rasmussen, University of Southern Denmark, Jane Calvert, University of Edinburgh, and Sven Panke, ETH Zurich, among others.
