The 7th biannual conference of NTA, the network of technology assessment institutions in German-speaking countries, is held under the theme 'Mastering "Grand Challenges" – what can be the contribution of technology assessment?' It marks also the 20th anniversary of the hosting institution, the EA European Academy.

The conference programme includes some interesting presentations on synthetic biology in a session on challenges of research and development in the life sciences (on Thursday afternoon).

The conference language is German, participation is free of charge, but registration before 11 November 2016 is required.
