S.NET is an international association that promotes intellectual exchange and critical inquiry about the advancement of nanoscience and emerging technologies in society. Its 7th annual conference takes place in Montreal, Canada, under the theme "From nanotechnologies to emerging technologies: towards a global responsibility".

The conference welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral presentations to explore the following themes around nanotechnologies and emerging technologies:

  • Scientific and social assessment of emerging technologies for a sustainable society
  • Responsible research and innovation in a global context
  • Emerging technologies in energy, food and agriculture
  • Safety research; from occupational health to ecohealth
  • The economics, politics and ethics of innovation
  • Emerging technologies and the future; narratives, visions and practices
  • Governance and regulation; international and North-South perspective
  • Innovation and the military complex

The deadline for applications is June 8th, 2015.
